A 14 year old girl was expecting to meet up with a boy her age, but when she got in the car, the unanticipated happens!

Many youths today are active when socializing on the internet. The risks and dangers of using social media sites have been well-documented. Still, many youths today, boys and girls alike, ignore these risks, leaving them vulnerable and in danger. Facebook users are required to be at least 18 years of age and above, but many underaged users register on Facebook and use it without proper consent and permission of their parents.

Especially girls who are aged 10-14 who are active in seeking new friends and meeting new people are left susceptible to the potential hazards of being "too friendly" and "trusting too much" on the internet.

They can be easily the targets for sexual predators who use social media sites as tools to search for unwary victims.

YouTube user Coby Persin, well-known for conducting awareness-raising social experiments, decides to conduct another experiment wherein he would try to chat and communicate with young girls online and snatch their trust and lure them into meeting with him personally. He started to pretend to be a boy the same age as the girls are - to gauge how easily they give in and how vulnerable they could be without their parents having knowledge about their actions.

Before he conducted the experiment, he notified the parents of the girls so that they could be apart of it and observe the behavior of their children, to which the parents agreed on. The girls didn't know that their parents are aware of their actions, and certainly they didn't know that they were apart of the experiment.

After chatting with Coby for a number of days, they finally agreed to meet up with him, not knowing the dangers of their actions and the possibilities of what it may bring. After finding out that their daughters actually went and met up with Coby, they were surely shocked and surprised on how easily their daughters were convinced to meet up with Coby.

A warning sign to parents that they should always monitor and look after their children's behavior, especially your daughters. Notify and educate them of the potential hazards and pitfalls of using social media, as it could very well save their lives and avoid placing themselves in great danger. Keep your children safe!
