ML - "No disrespect to Daniel, he's cool and all, [but] I wanted to meet the AlDub couple."

On September 5, the 27-year-old guard from Golden State Warriors engaged in basketball drills, shoot-outs and scrimmage with several young basketball players from here and abroad as part of his first Asian tour with the sports brand Under Armour.

The one-time NBA Champion also participated in several photo shoots, interviews and media appearances.

One media appearance included was when he met local actor Daniel Padilla and his entourage. They shook hands, exchanged words for a few minutes and took pictures. Stephen Curry, however, was underwhelmed by this.

"I've seen the AlDub couple whenever my wife's Filipino friend watches them on YouTube. I think they're cool and it would've been cooler to meet them instead," Curry told the media before he left for China.

AlDub is a fictional supercouple pairing of Alden Richards and Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza) from the daytime variety series Eat Bulaga!

The Pabebe Girls posted a video response on their official Facebook page that they're not interested with Ellen DeGeneres' invite. A partially-corrected excerpt has been provided below:

"Ellen DeGeneres, wala kaming paki sa show mo at hindi din kami interesado sa first class first class mo na yan. Kung sa tingin mo madadaan mo kami sa kalokohan mo, pwes nagkakamali ka. Dahil walang makakapigil samin. Di kami interesado sa show mo. At sa mga haters namin, inggit lang kayo kasi kami napapansin na sa ibang bansa. Wala na talagang makakapigil sa pag-papabebe namin."

Translation provided on the post's comments:
"Ellen DeGeneres, we don't care about your show and we are not interested with your first class flight offer. If you think that you can trick us, then you're mistaken. Because nobody can stop us. We are not interested with your show. And for our haters, you're just jealous because we're being noticed in other countries. Nobody can stop our 'pabebe ways.'"

The Pabebe Girls also posted a few more responses for those who "mock" them on national television, specifically ABS-CBN and GMA talents.

Ellen DeGeneres, whose popular daytime show is currently on its season break has been promoting her website as a new online lifestyle magazine destination.

Pabebe Girls To Ellen: "Di kami interesado sa show mo!"

LOS ANGELES - Philippine internet sensation "Pabebe Girls" were invited to The Ellen DeGeneres show earlier today by Ellen herself. The TV show host will pay for plane tickets and accommodation of the three girls involved in the original video.

The "Pabebe Girls" took the internet by storm with their video where they threatened people who do not agree with their "pabebe" ways. Whether they were serious or not remains unknown, but they've caught the attention of multiple local and international celebrities.

The latest international celebrity to hop on the "Pabebe Girls" hype train is 27 time Emmy award-winning TV show host Ellen DeGeneres who hosts her daytime show in the United States. The trio, including the girl who recorded the video, were invited by Ellen to come on the show.

"I'll pay for their plane tickets -- first class -- and their hotel fees. I really want them on the show," said Ellen.

Ellen was amazed at how passionate the "Pabebe Girls" were with their "pabebe" ways and was also intrigued by one of the girls' seemingly lack of eyebrows. The host joked: "I'll also pay for fake eyebrows if I have to."

YOUTUBE - It seems pranks are all the rage now. From people pranking their friends, families, and even complete strangers.

Some of these pranks are harmless fun, while others seem to cross a line. The best is when the prank back fires on the prankster, causing them to be the butt of the joke.

The guy over at the YouTube channel MysticGotJokes, loves pranking people. It’s basically all his channel is. In one of his latest videos he decided he was going to prank on of his lady friends. But instead of making it a light harder joke he decided to cross a line.

He had a friend call him to give him his “STD test results”, and you guessed it they weren’t good. The idea was to have the girl freak out and worry that she might have them. The only thing is the girl knew it was his friend.

So she decided to turn the prank around on him. Telling him that it was her fault because she never told him, she had a STD. This freaks out Mystic and he almost loses his mind!

She finally tells him that she knew all along, causing him some immediate relief. Maybe next time he decides to prank somebody he’ll make sure they aren’t in on the prank.

What would you do if your significant other tried to prank you like this?

MAKATI - The city of Makati has now banned all battle rap league events including the infamous FlipTop Battle League. The announcement was made today through the city's official Twitter account.

"FlipTop encourages people to bully each other for cheap laughs," said Dr. Raymond Alto, one of the psychologists consulted by the city. "If a child sees a video and thinks it's okay to make fun of your peers, be it their appearance or manner of speaking, then our future is doomed," added Alto.

The FlipTop Battle League is recognized as the first of its incarnation in the Philippines. Its growth was spearheaded by Anygma, the host, and a roster of battle rappers. It rose to notoriety through YouTube and the usage of one-liners in its videos as a means of word-of-mouth promotion.

The FlipTop Battle League is a tool used by musicians in the hip-hop genre to promote their music and merchandise. Notable success stories from FlipTop are:

- Abra
- Loonie
- Bassilyo
- Zaito
- Dello

All of which were able to release albums and receive mainstream radio attention after their FlipTop videos reached a million views.

Usually, the FlipTop battle rap matches consist of two participants exchanging rhyming lines in 1 to 3 minute time limits spread through three rounds. An overtime is granted if the five judges came to a tie or voted for an overtime round.

The most popular video of the FlipTop Battle League (featured below) as of this posting, however, is a 2-on-2 battle rap contest between the teams of Loonie/Abra and Shehyee/Smugglaz. The winning team in the tournament received cash prizes.

LAS VEGAS - Boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather, Jr. lashed out against Manny Pacquiao and his Filipino fans in his latest Sports Illustrated interview. He was also quoted saying, "I don't expect anything less from mammals living in a third world country."

Boxing journalist Benjamin Keaney had a sit-down talk with Floyd Mayweather, Jr. for an interview with Sports Illustrated recently and asked the boxer several questions including his bout with Manny Pacquiao. "I won that match. He fights like a gorilla. He tries to pounce on me, but I'm a technician. I'm what a boxer should be and that's why people pay to see me," Mayweather told SI.

Mayweather also expressed interest in working with pop star Justin Bieber on a rap album consisting of 6 tracks featuring the Canadian singer. "We've began recording stuff, but the project got put on hold because of the fight."

The interview became heated when Mayweather watched a video on YouTube showing that Pacquiao landed more punches than him, in contrast of what the punch bot showed on the results. "What a bunch of [expletive]. The only people that would think Pacquiao won that match is his delusional ass and his [expletive] ignorant fans," said Mayweather.

Mayweather told SI that, "Filipinos are emotional inbred monkeys. They ignore stats and facts, because they can't handle losing. I don't expect anything less from mammals living in a third world country. We all know they're only good at one thing and that's being a caregiver [sic]."

Social media erupted after the summary of the interview was released. Filipino Pacquiao fans were upset at Mayweather's "racist" remarks and wishes their country to put him on persona non grata.

YOUTUBE - The #1 media streaming website on the internet, YouTube, has announced that they will be removing in-video advertisements in favor of monthly subscription a la Hulu and Netflix. Free streaming will still be available, but will have mandatory 30-second to 5-minute ads before the video.

"All content will be on demand like how it is now, but we will have an option to subscribe as a premium member of YouTube," said YouTube and Google spokesperson Jordan Broad. "It will be called YouTube VIP or YTVIP. If you have it, you won't get ads on the start of the video. If you don't, you'll be watching a 30-second to 5-minute ad before the video starts."

Broad also confirmed that the ads are going to be based on the user's browsing history. "All the collected data from Google search, Google+ and past YouTube videos that you've watched will be taken into account before we play the ad," he said.

The announcement has been met by mixed reactions from social media. Others understood that this is vital for YouTube to continue as a top-level platform for content distribution while others felt "betrayed." The subscription will be transitioning into functionality within this year according to the press release from Google.

MAKATI - Michelle Liggayu, popularly known as Mich of the duo 'Jamich', has been under fire since the death of her boyfriend and fiancĂ©, Jam Sebastian, last March.

The YouTube sensation went under scrutiny in comments on social media regarding her happy photos showing her with friends and frolicking on the beach while the love of her life was in his sickbed.

More criticisms broke out when Jam passed away. Mich uploaded a video of herself crying while 'reminiscing' her good times with her partner of six years, and the couple's followers found this unusual and disturbing. Many have commented that they would not have been able to find the strength to go online, much less post videos and updates; some felt that this was an act of hypocrisy—that Mich was milking her fiancĂ©'s death for her to gain more popularity.

While fans openly defended Mich against bashers during those critical times, a lot of them are now in doubt whether they had been right by doing so. It was rumored that she is in a newfound relationship with Neo Domingo, another internet celebrity and a friend to the couple, when pictures of them together started making rounds on Facebook.

Mich kept mum as suspicions of her relationship with Neo beginning way back when Jam was still alive also spread like wildfire, but is now breaking her silence by confirming the issue.

"Alam ko po hindi maganda tingnan, alam ko tingin nila mali. Ang sakit nga ng mga sinasabi nila, eh. 'Mich Bitch' daw, ganyan. Malandi daw. Pero 'di nila alam kung gaano kahirap," Mich said. "Hindi ko kasalanan na naghanap ako ng ibang... source, ng pagmamahal... na 'di maibigay sakin ni Jam nung mga times na 'yun." ("I know it doesn't look right, I know it seems wrong. They say a lot of hurtful things about me like 'Mich Bitch', those kind of stuff. They say I'm a flirt. But they don't know how difficult it all was for me. It wasn't my fault I had to look for another... source, of love... which Jam couldn't give me during those times.")

Mich also addressed her loyal fans, hoping they would understand and support her with whatever makes her happy. "Sa mga fans ko po, sana maging happy na lang kayo for me. Minahal ko naman si Jam. Pero tapos na 'yun, nagpapahinga na siya with God and His angels. Magpasalamat na lang siguro tayo na okay na siya at ako okay na rin. May nagmamahal pa rin sakin. Alam ko gusto ni Jam 'yun." ("To my fans, I hope you will just be happy for me. I loved Jam. But that's in the past now, he's already in the care of God and His angels. Let's just be grateful that he's okay now and I am, too. Someone still loves me. I know Jam would like that.")

Would she be making a new short film anthology with her new boyfriend and call their tandem 'NeoMich'? To that she laughingly said, "Naku, tingnan po natin. Sana suportahan din nila the way na sinuportahan nila ang Jamich." ("Oh my, maybe someday. I hope they support us the way they supported Jamich.")

Mich is the remaining half of the couple that became known for their short films on YouTube that they wrote, directed, and played in themselves. Jam passed away last March after battling with lung cancer for a year.
