After Lola Nidora decided that it would be best to visit the studios in Eat Bulaga for Dabarkads to get to know the Explorers, namely Lola Nidora herself, Tinidora and Yaya Dub, it was a truly special day for everyone in the broadway who is a certified fanatic of the hit KalyeSerye series as they get to meet their favorite icons up close and personal which truly is a delightful experience! Everyone was pumped up and excited for the arrival of Yaya Dub, and of course, everyone in the studio prepared well for Lola Nidora's visit as they have come up with something up their sleeve! As fans have anticipated once again the meet-up of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza (Yaya Dub) on the broadway studio, another tandem has taken over the spotlight, and that is Lola Nidora and Jimmy Santos seeing each other for the very first time! It seemed rather Lola Nidora was very conservative in her approach to Jimmy, and certainly many fans have been entertained with the tandem's very first encounter.

After the exchange of blows Joey de Leon and Lea Salonga fired to each other, the longtime Eat Bulaga host and veteran comedian once again took to social media site Twitter to express his opinions in regards to ABS-CBN's latest box office hit movie, Heneral Luna last Monday, September 28, 2015.
He tweeted that the Heneral Movie would be a sure-fire box office hit in no time if Alden Richards was given a cameo role in the movie as Rizal, and Maine Mendoza as Sisa. It seemingly looked like a humorous tweet aimed at amusing everyone in the entertainment business. But netizens weren't too pleased with the veteran comedian's comment, and they blasted Joey de Leon once again for his tackless opinions and thoughts. Netizens have stated that the Heneral Luna movie was a box office hit and has received massive success mainly because of the amazing story line and plot, not because of the cast of characters. Others have responded that the movie is intended for the youth today in general for them to have an idea about the rich history of the Philippines and it's national heroes. While others stated that Joey is too shallow in evaluating and stating his own opinions, which really didn't make a resounding positive to various netizens, which prompted them to voice out their own thoughts and opinions in regards to the comedian's tweet. In light of the massive success of AlDub featured in KalyeSerye, veteran host and longtime Eat Bulaga comedian Joey De Leon took to Twitter to celebrate the prosperity of their show just days ago. While he did not mention any names, it also seems like he aimed some of his tweets to rival network ABS-CBN in regards to the need to step up their game in hopes of competing with their successful tandem of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza (Yaya Dub). While this drew minor debate, it reached some of the artists and hosts of ABS-CBN's noontime show It's Showtime! While some particularly have no responses to Joey's tweet, frankly Coleen Garcia has a few minced words of her own, and here is what she has to say in regards to the comedian's tweet.


"That's his own opinion and everybody's entitled to their own." as she says in light of the enigmatic tweets Joey posted on Twitter. When asked about the fierce competition between the two networks, she promptly responded that it's a good sign for both networks to bring the best out of each other in making every fan of their noontime shows entertained and happy. “One thing that I actually pick up on is that I’m happy that there are two noontime shows that are doing their very best to make people happy. Because, at the end of the day, it’s really about the audience. It’s really about the fans.” She was recently interviewed by PEP.ph, and the 22-year old actress said that she doesn't intend to judge, as she says "I don’t want to go ahead and jump to conclusions… because, I mean, here in showbiz, there have been many understandings also.” Though the two networks are different when it comes to entertaining their fans, she said that she's very glad that the distinctiveness of both networks resonates well with their fans and really connects with everyone watching their shows. She said “The good thing about all of this is we’re two different shows and we’re trying very, very hard to make our fans happy.” She also gave a piece of advice on their newly found star Angelica Jane Yap (Pastillas Girl) who is now shining in the spotlight but has received ample criticism and judgement as of late, and here is what Coleen has to say to Angelica: "My advice to her, is to keep holding on , hold on to God because he’s the only one who can get you through everything.” Push.abs-cbn.com recently published an article on Coleen giving advice to Pastillas Girl, in which she stated “You know none of it is scripted. What I think is if you start to disregard the entire competition between the networks, you start to see that this girl is really special. She has something to offer naman to people. She deserves where she is now.”

We think it's a healthy sign of competition for the two networks pitting themselves against each other, and it certainly fuels the fire for them to think of more creative ways to ignite the passion in their respective fan bases and ultimately, make each avid viewer entertained to the fullest when watching their noontime shows. Fans and AlDub fanatics were adored when Alden showed due respect through gesture to Maine's father in Eat Bulaga last Saturday. Many have praised Alden for recognizing Maine's dad in the studio, and for showing a positive trait most Filipinos today would rarely exhibit. Even Alden's father, Richard Faulkerson Sr.,, was very happy and proud of Alden for showing respect to his significant other's parents before their most awaited first date!

"Yan ganyan! DAPAT magbigay galang ka sa family niya," Mr. Faulkerson said in a tweet. He also added in a caption regarding Alden showing respect to Maine's dad "Daddy Dub mabait na bata po yan, don't worry!"

Of course, Maine was very happy that her parents were able to join the Dabarkads in the studio. Even more happy when Alden recognized and showed respect for her parents. It has been quite a while since Maine Mendoza debuted as Yaya Dub in the hit #‎KalyeSerye on noontime show Eat Bulaga. In a blog post, Maine Mendoza decided to share her experiences from being a simple culinary student, to being hailed as the Dubsmash Queen of the Philippines and joining the Eat Bulaga Family. At first, she only informed her parents that she is being recruited and even her closest friends have the slightest clue that she will eventually be a part of Eat Bulaga. "Maybe they saw a potential in me (through my Dubsmash videos) to be a 'Dabarkad.' I don’t know, until now I still cannot believe I am already a part of the EB family. I still question myself every now and then, 'Ano ba’ng ginawa ko? Ano ba’ng meron sakin? Bakit ako?' Things like that." Maine humbly said. She said that she was given a call by a staff of Eat Bulaga for an interview, and only took days before notifying her that she passed the interview and will be a part of the noontime show. According to Maine, "They invited me to watch Juan For All-All For Juan segment live (I remember it was a Thursday); asked me to observe how things come off in the set and see if I am okay with it. I told them I am totally fine with everything and then the next thing I heard was 'Okay, good. Sa Sabado ka na ila-launch." "I am mentally freaking out already. WHAT. OKAY. WAIT. DI KO MAISIP. OKAY. THURSDAY NGAYON. BUKAS MAKALAWA SABADO NA. OKAY. WAIT. TEKA. UHM. UHM. OH MY GOD. SERYOSO BA YUN. TEKA. DI KO MAISIP. THURSDAY, FRIDAY. SATURDAY. SABADO. SABADO NA. AGAD AGAD. OKAY. SO. SABADO. KERI BA?" She also added. Although feeling intense nervousness, she couldn't believe that she was living a dream that she only thought was impossible. In just a short amount of time, Maine has grown close already to some prominent Eat Bulaga artists like Wally Bayola (as Lola Nidora), Jose Manalo, Paolo Ballesteros, and of course, her intimate love partner Alden Richards. "I was excited and nervous at the same time. It was my first time to be on live TV and I had no idea on how the show would go. Even so, I think I did fine on my first day. (just fine) Well, I tried my best to keep/look calm and poised. It’s already my seventh week at Juan For All and I must say I am really having a good time at the set! Nakakaride na ako. And the staff, gee, love ’em. I love how in a short time I feel like I already belong." Maine expressed.
