Actress and former sexy icon Maui Taylor took the stage of Abs-Cbn's noontime show It's Showtime and graced the lights once again with her stunning beauty in her Lip Swak performance last Thursday. Seemingly like Katy Perry's hit single song "California Girls", Maui depicted as an applicant for a visa, but she was initially rejected. Fans were entertained in her performance, but in the light of her acting, Maui experienced a slight wardrobe malfunction in front of the stage!

The 32-year old model and actress was dressed with a black tube and a feathery coat on her performance on It's Showtime. She was dancing around the stage and the tables, when the top part of her tube suddenly slipped down, and revealed her private parts on her live performance. One of the dancers of It's Showtime immediately hurried to cover up Maui Taylor from the audience in an impromptu scene while the actress pulled up her tube on television. Despite the slight wardrobe malfunction, Maui displayed her professionalism and composure, then proceeded to go on with her live acting performance as if nothing happened. Despite the growing success of Pastillas Girl Angelica Jane Yap in ABS-CBN's noontime show It's Showtime, she and the show itself has received ample criticism from various angles, from television viewers, to netizens and social media users. And now the show is coming under fire recently after the Gabriela Women's Party claims that the show is suggesting Angelica Jade Yap to different guys which they deem inappropriate and unsuitable. They want the noontime show to be investigated by the Movie Television Review and Classification Board to see if Pastillas Girl's segment on It's Showtime is admissible. It's Showtime has received allegations and complaints in regards to this matter, as some view the segment of Pastillas Girl as being pimped towards variously interested men.

Gabriela is known for strictly establishing women rights in the country, and it's General Manager Joan May Salvador has stated that her organization has received quite the complaints in regards to the matter. She said “As an organization dealing with the protection and advancement of women’s right, we cannot dismiss such complaints,” Salvador said in her letters. “We have been consistent in our statement that competition to sell the show and the ratings war should not be done at the expense of women.” Both the MTRCB and It's Showtime have yet to respond to the allegations and complaints. After rising to fame due to her viral video on social media, Angelica Jane Yap has been deemed the answer to rival GMA Network in Yaya Dub, competing for television ratings and in keeping the competition leveled up. While she has gathered her wide fan base, she has acquired a number of criticism as well due to her sudden rise to fame, constantly being bashed online by netizens. In light of the recent allegations that the noontime show of ABS-CBN is pimping her to different guys, she has responded to the claims. In a short video by ABS-CBN, she states that the show isn't looking to hook up Pastillas Girl to different guys, rather she says that the show is looking for a friend whom she will hopefully get close with and get to know more about each other. She says that it's not an automatic relationship she's looking for, but a guy who will eventually charm her heart and win her over.

It's Showtime! has found a way to level the playing field and even the competition with rival network GMA through their newly found gem in Angelica Jade Yap, mostly known as Pastillas Girl. Jess Verado Senido, the other half to the successful tandem of him and Pastillas Girl, was invited to personally come and visit the studio by Vice Ganda, promising to shoulder all the costs and expenses for Jess to arrive in the studio. The pairing of Jess and Angelica became the talk of the town, as they rose to one of the top trending topics on social media site Twitter. Of course, Jess' sudden rise to popularity wasn't all a warm welcome as he also was greeted with ample criticism from fans and viewers, most of them noting that Jess is not meant for Angelica, because she's too beautiful for him, which many consider Jess is way out of Angelica's league. This prompted Jess to seek advice from Vice Ganda in her popular segment 'Advice Ganda' and emotionally opened up all the things he has to say to the criticism surrounding him. He stated that most people nowadays judge a person based on his/her physical aspects, which he feels is unjustly wrong. He also stated that nowadays people view that beautiful is for handsome, rich is for rich, and forgetting about the more important aspects of being a good person, which can be seen on the inside. Of course, Vice Ganda felt the sincerity of Jess and at the same time felt sad as well on him receiving hate and vile comments from fans and netizens. Vice Ganda gave her advice and she says "Yun ang nalulungkot ako ngayon. Ginagamit ng mga tao ang social media para manakit ng damdamin. Ginagamit ng mga tao ang social media para magpabagsak ng kapwa..ng programa..ng organisasyon..ng tao..ng paniniwala.." It goes to show how much social media can influence and make an impact on almost everything, and Vice Ganda promptly responded to the haters and bashers of Jess. In light of the massive success of AlDub featured in KalyeSerye, veteran host and longtime Eat Bulaga comedian Joey De Leon took to Twitter to celebrate the prosperity of their show just days ago. While he did not mention any names, it also seems like he aimed some of his tweets to rival network ABS-CBN in regards to the need to step up their game in hopes of competing with their successful tandem of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza (Yaya Dub). While this drew minor debate, it reached some of the artists and hosts of ABS-CBN's noontime show It's Showtime! While some particularly have no responses to Joey's tweet, frankly Coleen Garcia has a few minced words of her own, and here is what she has to say in regards to the comedian's tweet.


"That's his own opinion and everybody's entitled to their own." as she says in light of the enigmatic tweets Joey posted on Twitter. When asked about the fierce competition between the two networks, she promptly responded that it's a good sign for both networks to bring the best out of each other in making every fan of their noontime shows entertained and happy. “One thing that I actually pick up on is that I’m happy that there are two noontime shows that are doing their very best to make people happy. Because, at the end of the day, it’s really about the audience. It’s really about the fans.” She was recently interviewed by PEP.ph, and the 22-year old actress said that she doesn't intend to judge, as she says "I don’t want to go ahead and jump to conclusions… because, I mean, here in showbiz, there have been many understandings also.” Though the two networks are different when it comes to entertaining their fans, she said that she's very glad that the distinctiveness of both networks resonates well with their fans and really connects with everyone watching their shows. She said “The good thing about all of this is we’re two different shows and we’re trying very, very hard to make our fans happy.” She also gave a piece of advice on their newly found star Angelica Jane Yap (Pastillas Girl) who is now shining in the spotlight but has received ample criticism and judgement as of late, and here is what Coleen has to say to Angelica: "My advice to her, is to keep holding on , hold on to God because he’s the only one who can get you through everything.” Push.abs-cbn.com recently published an article on Coleen giving advice to Pastillas Girl, in which she stated “You know none of it is scripted. What I think is if you start to disregard the entire competition between the networks, you start to see that this girl is really special. She has something to offer naman to people. She deserves where she is now.”

We think it's a healthy sign of competition for the two networks pitting themselves against each other, and it certainly fuels the fire for them to think of more creative ways to ignite the passion in their respective fan bases and ultimately, make each avid viewer entertained to the fullest when watching their noontime shows. In light of the mainstream video of the pastillas recipe popularized by Angelica Jane Yap (known as Pastillas Girl), apparently not only one, but two people claim that they are the original makers of the famous pastillas recipe that set the whole social media ablaze. Of course, Angelica was credited in making the whole story such a big hit, and was invited to be a guest and made an appearance in Abs-Cbn's noontime show It's Showtime. She shared her own story and background on how her ex-boyfriend cheated on her, which she says was an inspiration in making the pastillas video. After the video went viral online through various social media sites most notably Facebook, a girl named Miel Francisco states that she is the original author of the pastillas recipe. Her reaction was seen on her Facebook account, updating her status in regards to Angelica claiming her work while she was left out of the spotlight because of it. Miel posted a screenshot from her phone for proof that she is the real author of the recipe. Angelica Jane Yap (Pastillas Girl) did not include any credits when she uploaded her video, and states that she wasn't aware that the viral photo she shared online came from Miel, because the post was so popular a lot of netizens also shared it.



While this left many people wondering, just days after Miel stated that she is the real author of the said post, netizens have discovered another person claiming the post as the original author, and that is "Pastillas Boy"!

After discovering that the pastillas recipe went viral, Benedict decided to post his reaction on his timeline on Facebook. He stated that the pastillas recipe he claimed he wrote over a year ago, is now trending online. Although he never mentioned that he deserved credits for the trending post, he did leave his own minced words in a provocative manner, and here is what he has to say. After netizens discovered his Facebook account, he was bombarded with a ton of messages and friend requests. He cited the immediate popularity he received through a post on his timeline. A little background regarding Benedict is that he is an events planning manager and coordinator in an events agency, He is also known for attending many sports events, as seen in his photos. Passionate about climbing great heights and coming in tune with nature, Benedict loves to go hiking. He is also known for writing "hugot lines" in reference about love and relationships. It seems that Yap claimed the recipe from Miel and made a video in regards to the pastillas. Yap then successfully trended because of her video, going viral online then eventually making it to television. While Miel, who originally made the recipe, was left out and received no credit in making the pastillas recipe, in which she was overshadowed by Yap's hilarious video. Netizens have debated that Miel should be the one deserving of the spotlight, and she should be the one making the guest appearance on It's Showtime. Ryan Rems is a classic when it comes to whipping out amusing jokes here and there. But he also does interviews. After attending an interview workshop with renowned TV Host Boy Abunda, the Rock en Roll Master showcased his interviewing skills with Alex Gonzaga.

He started his interview with his so-called "Survey With Ryan Rems", a series of questions for Alex to answer. The questions vary from asking how her sister opened the doors for her to shine in television, to where she got the inspiration to write a book about broken hearts, it was all but light and fun questions filled with humor and some jokes as well.

But the tables started to turn when the clever Alex, out of nowhere asked Ryan if he has a date, then proceeded to ask the question "Gusto mo magdate tayo?" It was all in good fun, seeing them both laugh and smile.
