It's Showtime! has found a way to level the playing field and even the competition with rival network GMA through their newly found gem in Angelica Jade Yap, mostly known as Pastillas Girl. Their ratings have risen significantly since Pastillas Girl debuted on their noontime show, and has accumulated a significant amount of fans and a wide fan base all over the nation. Of course, it wasn't all praise and recognition as Pastillas Girl was met with quite a criticism from viewers and fans which drew ire controversy from Angelica's storied past and her influence on the viewers. Vice Ganda gave Angelica a break, and while she's out of the limelight, it seems a new star is ready to take over the spotlight after Vice Ganda discovered his sincere and heartfelt tweets for Pastillas Girl.

Jess Verado Senido, the other half to the successful tandem of him and Pastillas Girl, was invited to personally come and visit the studio by Vice Ganda, promising to shoulder all the costs and expenses for Jess to arrive in the studio. The pairing of Jess and Angelica became the talk of the town, as they rose to one of the top trending topics on social media site Twitter. Of course, Jess' sudden rise to popularity wasn't all a warm welcome as he also was greeted with ample criticism from fans and viewers, most of them noting that Jess is not meant for Angelica, because she's too beautiful for him, which many consider Jess is way out of Angelica's league. This prompted Jess to seek advice from Vice Ganda in her popular segment 'Advice Ganda' and emotionally opened up all the things he has to say to the criticism surrounding him. He stated that most people nowadays judge a person based on his/her physical aspects, which he feels is unjustly wrong. He also stated that nowadays people view that beautiful is for handsome, rich is for rich, and forgetting about the more important aspects of being a good person, which can be seen on the inside. Of course, Vice Ganda felt the sincerity of Jess and at the same time felt sad as well on him receiving hate and vile comments from fans and netizens. Vice Ganda gave her advice and she says "Yun ang nalulungkot ako ngayon. Ginagamit ng mga tao ang social media para manakit ng damdamin. Ginagamit ng mga tao ang social media para magpabagsak ng kapwa..ng programa..ng organisasyon..ng tao..ng paniniwala.." It goes to show how much social media can influence and make an impact on almost everything, and Vice Ganda promptly responded to the haters and bashers of Jess. It's truly wrong to judge someone based on their appearance, and it certainly won't do any good for anyone else in that matter.
