They have reformulated the concrete to withstand the weight of heavy vehicles and one of the main advantages of Topmix Permeable is roads will be much cooler than the traditional asphalt during sunny days and hot weather. Lafarge Tarmac took advantage of this to create their water-absorbing asphalt than can absorb 880 gallons of water a minute! Talk about a lot of water! But, the concrete is susceptible to cold conditions as freezing cold water would cause the concrete to expand and damage it.
