Filipino Who Died in Coron, Palawan still being investigated for true cause behind his unfortunate death

After the recent news of a Filipino tourist who perished in the unforgiving waters of Coron, Palawan about a week ago, it has drawn ire and dispute on social media. The cause of Miguel Ruiz's death is yet to be clarified, as experts are still investigating to find out what exactly caused his unfortunate death last August 14. Previous reports claim that he stepped on a poisonous stonefish that, but experts still remain skeptical that it is indeed the cause of death.Travis Navarro Millard, the alleged American boyfriend of Miguel, he took to Facebook to show the photos of Miguel's punctured left foot. He said: "I've been very bothered by the different stories concerning the cause of his death," his post stated. "He did not drown, he did not step on a stonefish." The hospital claims that he died from drowning, adding to the confusion of what really happened to Miguel.
Travis further noted that "The attached photo is exactly what Miguel's foot looked like when he was observed at Coron District Hospital. They dismissed the puncture wounds and didn't offer me any type of explanation."
He asked for additional information regarding his boyfriend's situation, and the doctors concluded that a sea urchin was the suspect of claiming Miguel's life. Doctors said: "After a thorough search search and discussion with several marine and medical professionals, it is our best conclusion that he stepped on a sea urchin, not a stonefish." Adding the storyline of the tragic incident of former TV personality and former football player Bob Wilson's son similarly experienced.
While doctor have their own say regarding the cause of death, Travis still remains skeptical about the results and is waiting for the official reports from the autopsy conducted in Manila to exactly pinpoint what caused Miguel's fatality.
"We are still waiting the official autopsy results for the detailed toxicology report," he said. "However, it is important for me to clear the air about the stonefish and other suggested cause of death", Travis added.
After blaming the tourism and health personnel in Coron, Palawan for their lack of training and proper medical awareness, Travis and Miguel's family are planning to press charges against the authorities in the municipality.
