Young Boy Accidentally Trips And Smashes Hole in a $1.5M Italian Artwork Masterpiece!
Life's misfortunes can sometimes get the best of us, and certainly it can be a total bummer. Well this kid surely isn't too happy after he accidentally tripped and punched a hole at a T$50 million ($1.54 million) artwork masterpiece with his iron fist. Forget that, he just accidentally drilled a hole in the artwork by accident.
17th century Italian master artist Paolo Porpora, showcased his artwork in part of a Taipei exhibit displaying influenced works by Leonardo da Vinci, according to the main organizer David Sun. The incident was caught on camera as the boy proceeds to view the artwork in the exhibition and suddenly trips over the painting, using his fist as leverage to keep him from falling. What's funny is he punched the painting by accident.
"It was such an unusual accident," Sun said. "The boy was listening to the guide and wasn't looking where he was going and tripped and smashed a hole in the artwork."

The family and the boy has expressed sincere apology and regret for the incident, and luckily they will not pay for anything and will be free of any punishment. The good thing is the artwork was repaired immediately, according to David. "We had an Italian appraiser on hand and immediately contacted the collector. We decided to repair the painting immediately on site and it's back on display already."
