Local gigantism or localised gigantism is a condition in which a certain part of the body acquires larger than normal size due to excessive growth of the anatomical structures or abnormal accumulation of substances. It is more common in fingers and toes, where it is termed macrodactyly.

However, sometimes an entire limb may be enlarged. Such is the case with 8-year old Kaleem, who was diagnosed with this rare medical condition. He possesess enormously large hands as a result of macrodactyly, a characteristic which he truly dislikes because he frequently gets teased at school.

What was once a farfetched dream, now Kaleem is primed to undergo surgery which will forever change his life. A documentary regarding his journey before the life-changing surgery he's about to experience is being prepared. He was interviewed, and he said "I don't go to school because the teacher says the other kids get scared when they look at me." One of the reasons why Kaleem has struggled going to school is because of his enormous hands eventually terrifying his fellow students. But that is set to change as his life as well.

He has truly large hands, weighing about 8 kilograms each ands extends up to 13 inches when measured from his palm's base to the end of his middle finger. His parents wanted him to live a normal life, so they were prepared to travel a thousand miles to consult advice from the best reconstructive surgeons in the country. And Kaleem was blessed to be given the opportunity for the life-changing surgery he is about to undergo.

But the surgery has it's own challenges, and the doctors are up for a huge task on dealing with Kaleem's swollen nerves and fat tissues surrounding his giant hands. Add in the fact that Kaleem is a malnourished 8-year old, things are pretty complicated for the doctors to properly perform the surgery. So Kaleem needs to be in the best health possible before they proceed. In time, he underwent the surgery successfully, and his life was forever changed thanks to the surgeons.
He is well on his way to recovery, but the results could take up to a few months before improvements can be seen, as said by the doctors. It seems that a presented job opportunity resulted in a misunderstood insult, as this Facebook user angrily posted on social media his rant about his Alma Mater's offered career opportunity.

Facebook user Erickson Ignacio Marcos, has been the subject of scrutiny and controversy lately regarding his shared outrage on social media. After taking a 5-year degree course, it seems that Erick has lofty expectations for himself and his career path, so when his Alma Mater referred him to a Call Center Company (or Business Processing Outsource Company). The BPO serves as a gateway for many unemployed workers to eventually find jobs and careers. With basic knowledge in English skills even 18-year old graduate students have a chance in finding a job. So when netizens have noticed and read Erick's opinion, it certainly left a bitter taste in their mouths and labeled it as a "blind outrage".

Usually entry level jobs pave the way to a start in building a career, but certainly Erick mistook it as an offensive gesture from the undisclosed university he graduated at. Outraged 5-year course Degree Graduate Sparks Debate With Rant Post on Social Media




Sometimes parents do not tolerate unwanted behavior of their children, so they resolve it by ample disciplining in order to teach their children a valuable lesson. But this parent has gone way too overboard in teaching his child to behave.

It came to a point where this dad's 13-year old daughter couldn't handle the embarassment, the shame, and the degree of punishment her dad has lashed out on her. And certainly it took a toll on the daughter's mind and behaviour, which resulted in a very unfortunate incident her father could never imagine.

Izabel Laxamana, a native of Tacoma, Washington, comitted suicide last May 29 after allegedly jumping off a highway overpass. It was sad news for everyone including the family, which was very surprised on how and why their beautiful daughter took away her precious life.

Little did they know the reason behind this was because of her parents. She walked to the top of the Interstate 5 bridge then jumped off after her father posted a truly demoralizing and embarassing video of her being punished by her dad. Her father Jeff, was not too keen on being kind and gentle when disciplining, which resulted in Izabel ending her life because of her father's actions.

As it can be seen on the video, she was being scolded by her father, while there was a bundle of hair seen on the floor, which looked like Izabel's hair that her dad decided to cut off as her punishment. Her dad said "The consequences of getting messed up? Man, you lost all that beautiful hair. Was it worth it?" She just stares at her fallen hair on the floor, while quietly answering "No." "How many times did I warn you?" Her dad said. With a low voice, she spoke "Twice." Her father then says "Okay." Seemingly proving a point as the video concludes.

It's still uncertain whether the video urged Izabel's decision to take her life away, as Tacoma Public Information Officer Loretta Cool said that Izabel was also being bullied at school.

Tacoma Stories, a blog website stated this after knowing of Izabel's incident:
"Public shaming is a form of abuse. There are those who will say that it teaches a lesson. So does punching someone in the face. That doesn't make it okay to do to your children. My thoughts are with this young girl. I hope that she gets the help she needs. I also hope her father gets the help he so clearly needs and that her family can heal from these traumatic events brought on by public shaming."


A Facebook page was created named Justice for Izabel, where netizens gather to rally for charging her father with criminally and abusively shaming Izabel in public. Giaudrone Middle School offered Izabel a tribute with stuffed animals, flowers, and messages left by the students of the school. It truly is a sad story to hear. Hopefully this will open the eyes of parents in tolerating their children's behaviour and possibly avoid these kind of incidents in the future. Our thought and prayers go to Izabel and her family.

13-Year Old Girl Commits Suicide After Being Publicly Embarassed By Her Father in A Video.

In the rarest of medical conditions are conjoined twins born. This results in two babies being born in one body. Numerous surgeons and medical pediatricians in an Indian hospital witnessed a very rare scene, as they are finding out how to separate the two babies without risking the life of one baby or another.

The twins have been born with one body, united only to have two heads. They have yet to see their mother as they were transferred to a better hospital to facilitate their needs as being born a conjoined twin requires more special attention and care since their condition needs to be taken a closer look at.

Transferred to  All India Institute of Medical Science Hospital, the nurses and doctors are deciding whether or not they will perform surgery or let the conjoined twins stay intact, as the chances of survival are pretty slim for one baby when surgery is performed. Their parents, Urmila and Subhash Sharma, are currently recovering at Cygnus JK Hindu Hospital in Sonipat. Actually they were taken by surprise that their little twins would be born conjoined. Dr. Shikha Malik, one of the doctors of the conjoined twins, described the situation of the two babies to the family, describing them as having two heads, two necks, two spines and two separate esophagus and trachea. But they have only one heart, one stomach, and one lung.

This makes it difficult to decide on their operation. Since they also share vital organs, one baby is dependent on the other in terms of their behavior. Dr. Shikha said "So far they are doing remarkably well. It is a gift that they have come this far. We can only pray that there is a future for them. We are trying all we can to help them and we're speaking to experts from all over the world to see if there's any chance of surgery. But it is looking unlikely at the moment.

All hopes are being expressed and prayers are being offered on the condition on the two babies. As of now they are currently under observation before having to undergo surgery. Dr. Minu Bajpai is studying their case as a pediatric surgeon. Still, it is a great blessing indeed that the babies are doing fine despite being born a conjoined twin, and the parents are just happy to see their little angels despite their condition. Women have been the focal point of sexual harassment all over the world. At some point, women will or have experienced some form of sexual abuse once in their life. It ranges from social media to actually touching and harassment. This footage shows sexual harassing of an alleged doctor to a nurse in a crowded elevator.

A security camera in the elevator was witness to the incident, as it clearly captured how the doctor seemingly attempts to try and touch the nurse on her butt multiple times.

Despite being surrounded with other people, the disrespectful man cannot contain his lustful desires. The nurse has noticed the doctor disrespecting her, and tells him to stop. But the man was still persistent in his motives, even trying to put his hand inside the nurse's skirt. According to the website SF Globe, it was undisclosed whether the video was made visible to the public or not. Still, it was a dressed sight to see as women these days are not getting the proper respect that they deserve. Not only is it disrespectful, but it also takes a toll on their psychological emotions and of course their dignity. Feelings of shame, embarrassment and sorrow impacts them in ways we couldn't imagine. Acts like these are what makes other people fume with rage, as people suggest that the doctor deserves a hard slap right into the face. Sexual abuse and harassment causes devastating effects to women. Let us all fight against women abuse and show them proper respect.
