MANILA - The popular English-Irish boy band known as One Direction is cancelling its Philippine stop of the "One Direction On The Road Again Tour". The rumors started at around 5:30 AM (Philippine Standard Time) when 1D member Niall Horan sent out a cryptic tweet expressing his sadness regarding a certain bad news for Filipino Directioners that shadowed his joy that their upcoming album "Four" is coming out in less than a week.

We were later enlightened about the content of this tweet when One Direction's tour manager Paul Higgins confirmed the news that broke the hearts of Directioners across the nation.

One Directioner commented on the situation saying that she was very "devastated" upon hearing the cancellation of the Philippine part of the tour. Other Directioners have taken to Twitter to voice their displeasure with the lack of information regarding the news and the silence of the pop group.

SM Tickets and other ticket sellers are waiting for a proper press statement before handing out the refunds of the said event. Make sure to check back this page for regular updates as this story develops.

UPDATE - One Direction has since provided an open apology letter to all their Filipino fans. All ticket retailers are refunding the tickets as of today.
